It was a conversation that I was impelled to have with my class.

To my surprise, many of my students were oblivious to the events of September 11th, so you can imagine the dialogue we had.

At the end of the lesson and conversation, I had my students write letters to the Heroes of 9/11. I wanted to ease the grief a bit and turn the focus onto the people who helped during that fateful day.

I am glad that my students were able to understand the seriousness behind the event and how it has since, changed our nation forever.
